My son received a Kindle for Christmas. Reading for fun has never been top on his list, but now that he has a Kindle, he wants to be able to read books. The problem is something that will hold his interest. He says he would like mystery or adventure books.

Any idea on what books might appeal to him...series or stand alones? Thanks!

Rick Riordan has a great series for kids his age, The Heroes of Olympus. Jerry Spinelli is another author he might like. If you go to Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble's website, bn.com, you can search "Children's books" by age and you'll get tons of ideas.

Thanks Bonnie! I just found some on Amazon...so he's happy, and so am I!

My son likes the 39 Clues books, some of which are written by Rick Riordan, as well.
